I am new to law enforcement residing in the North Shore and figured I would reach out for some direction on how to become a special or reserve. I am currently a Aux and have completed the reserve academy, have LTC....
Anyone out there willing to help through the process or have any information that can lead me in the right direction or to some potentiall departments?
Any input would be great, thanks ahead of time for help.

No, it would be par for the course for you at this point. It was a valid criticism that DodgeRam gave you. Imagine if you will:

You observe a group of people that you want to be like (ie. The Masscops Community). You approach them, and hope that they are friendly (which in fact, they generally are). You don't realize that they get approached everyday by people like you, but they don't usually mind. You open your mouth to talk to them, and out spews a pile of slang infused jargon that no human being could understand (a little hyperbole here, bear with me). That sir is an analogy for your first post.

Honestly, when we see a mess like your first post, we wonder how action packed your life must be that you can't proofread. DodgeRam is a little bit jealous that he can't roll like you. He has time to press the space bar and return key.

Good luck though!

With an attitude such as yours, law enforcement is not the best career choice.

Thank you for a complete sentence and capitalizing 'dexter' for no reason. If you want to use a slang noun (dexter) to describe another noun (5-0), get it right. If you were using it as a adjective like it is supposed to be, you completely failed: http://www.worddefinitions.net/Dexter-definition/

I suggest using the alternate version found here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Dexter

some dispatchers are sworn in as specials to work details. as far as reserves your not going to find many on civil service pds. Look for smaller towns near worcester that use them.

Strongasanaux, alright.

I could be wrong in any of the following information, but it's what I know, so bear with me.

If you have attended and graduated NERPI(northeast regional police institute) then that is the bare minimum required by the state for you to work the streets. Now smaller departments that I know of, they usually hire their reserves or specials from their auxiliary pool. Usually a department is not willing to put an untrained officer on the streets without knowing you. I was an auxiliary at a small department for about 2 years, then they offered me the opportunity to work as a reserve after I had met all the requirements. That's how I got my foot in the door. It is very rare for you to walk into a department and get hired as a reserve. My suggestion is try to shine and stand out at the current department your at as an auxiliary, and see if they will hire you as a reserve or special.

I will apologize in advance for any grammatical error throughout my statement. I did re-read it for mispelled words.

Send me a PM if you need anymore information.
