HUDSON - A federal immigration investigation resulted in the arrest of four Hudson residents who are originally from Brazil. Wilson Dacunha, 30, Weleson Pinto, 27, and Marceni Deoliveira, 25, all of 79 Central St., were arrested before 8 a.m. Monday. Joaquim Goncalves, 48, was also arrested at his 23 Summer St. home Monday morning. Immigration judges have already ordered the deportations of Dacunha and Goncalves, said Paula Grenier, spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). They have since failed to leave the country, she said. Grenier did not say what any of the four did to land in immigration court. The arrest of Pinto and Deoliveira will start the proceedings for their potential deportations, said Grenier. "They're beginning their removal proceedings. They'll have an opportunity to go before an immigration judge," she said. All four hail from Brazil and are being held by ICE officials. Local police assisted the Fugitive Operations division of ICE with the arrests, said Hudson Police Capt. David Stephens. The sole purpose of Fugitive Operations is to identify and find people who are in violation of a judge's removal orders, said Grenier.
