New Yorkers apparently unsatisfied with their Giants team victory over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl are playing the ultimate ungracious winners with a new video posted on one of the city's newspaper Web sites. The New York Post published a video entitled "You Cheated" on Monday, with lyrics and music mimicking the well-known Michael Jackson hit song "Beat It," but substituting the words "You Cheated," instead. Featuring average New Yorkers singing the lyrics, the tune gloats over the Pats' defeat in Arizona earlier this month and rehashes the "Spygate" controversy.
A New York Jets coach accused the Patriots of spying on his team at the start of the fall season. The Patriots and their coach, Bill Belichick, were fined tens of thousands of dollars and went on to complete an undefeated regular season with an 18-0 record before losing the Super Bowl to the Giants.
The video clip is guaranteed to raise the ire of Patriots Nation fans with words like, "You had us thinking you were as good as it gets, but then your right-hand man went off to coach the Jets. He flipped and now you're grillin' on the charcoal briquettes. You cheated, and now your hoodie's all wet. You cheated."
There hasn't been any comment from the Patriots team, players, Belichick or owner Bob Kraft.
