FRAMINGHAM - A Framingham man who police say sells crack was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop for having a broken license plate light.
Suquie Shorrow, 25, was cited for defective equipment and arrested after police found a dozen baggies of crack hidden in a Pringles canister in his car, Deputy Police Chief Craig Davis said.
Officer Chris Langmeyer pulled over Shorrow'car in front of the Han Dynasty on Concord Street because of the burned out license plate light.
"During the course of the stop, a Pringles canister he had in his car was looked at," said Davis. "It had several baggies, 12 baggies, of crack."
The narcotics unit was called, and Shorrow was arrested at 11:59 p.m.
Shorrow, of 12 Centennial Place, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, second offense, and having drugs near a school.
The school charge was brought because the car was stopped within 1,000 feet of a South Middlesex Opportunity Council day care center, located on Arsenal Road, Davis said.
Shorrow pleaded not guilty at his Framingham District Court arraignment yesterday and was released without bail. He is due back in court on March 5 for a pretrial conference.
