Police Say They Believe Shootings Followed Argument
CROMWELL, Conn. -- Two people were fatally shot and a third was wounded at a crowded reggae night dance party.
Dispatchers received a 911 call at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, reporting multiple shootings. Hundreds of people had gathered for the weekly reggae party.
Officers found one person dead, a second gravely wounded and a third who had been grazed by a bullet. Cromwell police said the critically injured man died later at Hartford Hospital.
Police Capt. Roy Nelson identified the two homicide victims as Israel Dandrade, 31, and Tyrese Lockhart, 26, both of Middletown.
He said police are investigating the exact cause of the shooting but they believe the shootings followed an argument.
You know, those weekly Scandanavian parties where they play Bjork and AbbA tunes can get violent too.
