Anyone else working on Sunday in an area where the are prepared for super bowl riots and is pissed about having to work. Instead of watching the game and drinking a beer.

Posted by: Foxy85

If you want, I can drop you off some O'Doules, its got VERY LITTLE alcohol in it, and it will mkae you feel better....Or you can carry around an IBC Root Beer bottle to make you feel better...

Posted by: ninety_four_c

Thanks I can carry it on my thigh rig

Posted by: Delta784

I was supposed to work Sunday........

Posted by: Foxy85

Know what might help? Go to your cabinet and open the door. Take out a nice big bottle of Suck It Up pills, swallow a couple, and quit whining. This is the job and the hours that we all chose. If you wanted to be off for Superbowl Sunday, you should have picked some 9-5 Monday-Friday job.

Wow way to blow everything way out of proportion....In case you can't tell, we're all kidding, while some of us would like Superbowl Sunday off, we know its part of the job....

Or in may case, I work for the Trial Court, and have that 9-5 (8-4 in my case) Monday-Friday job. About the only perk for working for them....

Anyway take some "Lighten The Fuck Up pills" out of that same cabinet and chill out...

Working a double starting at 1530

Whoa,
Devildog76, You clearly misunderstood the purpose of my post, which was to generate funny responses and to see how many others are shraing my situation. Believe me I understand the roles and responsibilties of being a cop. Do you? Why are you so angry? You must work 80hr weeks, make alot of money, while you neglect your loved ones who barely know you. Relax and have some of your own suck it up pills, swallow a couple and keep your mouth shut. I will finish my response with a quote that I like from Delta784's Sig's postings:
"Being a police officer is the only occupation I know of where the only people who claim to know everything about the job are the same people who have never actually done the job."

Enjoy the Super Bowl while you digest this!!!

Now I see.....THAT'S why you have no sense of humor. In case you couldn't tell, I was joking also. Grab some of those Lighten Up Pills for yourself while you're handing them out.

Posted by: Foxy85

Ahh, your sarcasm was so clear..... Looked to me like you were trying to be funny, but coming off as an ass....Oh well....

And working for the Trial Court one has to have a GREAT sense of humor otherwise, you'll go mad...

Posted by: WaterPistola

i heard on the radio coming into work today 200-300 police had taken the day off in Boston. or maybe it was all of Massachusetts, either way they need some suck it up pills.

Posted by: rg1283

I'm not working Sunday. I wasn't schedualed for some reason

Posted by: Sgt Jack

I'm working both places today...college day..town at night....of course when they called me to fill the town shift two weeks ago they just gave me the date..... shame on me not putting two and two together....

Posted by: 5-0

You could always switch with me. My house got hit by a tree, have no power, and am living at my in-laws... Work would be a relief.

Great sense of humor.....like when you guys yell at Police Officers for using their cell phones and ignore the gang-banging punk (that is there for criminal charges) that is right beside you chatting away on their cell phone? That's super funny.

Posted by: Nick

I'm working, but I'm sure as hell gonna be watching the game, thanks to the good FD!

And how many people will bang in tomorrow from their 9-5 job? I'm sure it will be more that 300. Big f'in deal, if the city has the coverage why shouldn't the cops be allowed to take the day off?

Posted by: screamineagle

yeah goddamit I'm working. or, at the least, sitting at work watching the game hahahahahahahhaa.

Posted by: badgebunny

I am working...it was my day off, but I took OT so others could have the night off and for those of you that are wondering I love football...

Posted by: rocksy1826

working here. went non stop for the first 12 hours. What's with people coding on super bowl sunday? 3 years running.

Posted by: Delta784

Now I wish I did work.

Posted by: PBiddy35

The OT wouldn't have hurt as much as Brady's performance did.

Perhaps if he had more than 1.5 seconds to throw the ball and didn't spend the majority of the game horizontal, things might have been different.

With Brady taking the beating he did, they should have abandoned the spread offense and either run the ball more or used a pro-set package with the backs staying in to block the blitz.

Posted by: Foxy85

That horizontal crap killed at least a 1/2 dozen plays....
