NASHUA, N.H. -- A Nashua man, his brother and his son have been ordered held on $250,000 bail each on drug charges, and police said one brother handled cocaine and the other dealt heroin so they wouldn't cut into each other's business.

Police said their investigation into a high-level cocaine distribution network led them to Felix A. Perez, 53, and his son, Felix J. Perez, 24. The father was arrested in November, and the son was arrested early last month. Police said that while investigating the cocaine network, they got reports that Manuel Perez, 47, the elder Perez's brother, was dealing heroin. He and his girlfriend, Aideliz Quiles, were arrested late last month.

Police said Manuel Perez is considered one of the most active heroin dealers in Nashua. His brother, they said, is considered to be a significant cocaine dealer.

Police Say Brothers Divided Up Cocaine, Heroin Businesses

Nashua Man, Brother, Son Face Drug-Dealing Charges

Video: Police Say Drugs Sold By Brothers Worth Millions

NASHUA, N.H. -- Two brothers charged with running one of the largest drug operations police have seen in decades have been arrested in Nashua, police said.

Investigators said Felix A. Perez, 53, and Manuel Perez, 47, divided up a cocaine and heroin business designed to eliminate competition. Police said they are at the top of the drug hierarchy in Nashua and created a business worth millions of dollars.

"These two brothers are the biggest dealers we've seen in Nashua in my time, and I've been here 21 years," Lt. Scott Hammond said. "Manuel Perez was dealing large amounts of heroin, and Felix Perez was dealing large quantities of cocaine."

Police said Felix A. Perez's cocaine dealing would bring in about $60,000 a week, and Manuel Perez would bring in slightly less dealing heroin. Police estimated that their operations would total about $5.5 million per year.

"They were brothers," Hammond said. "They separated the business -- one doing coke and one doing heroin. They did that for the purpose of not taking each other's customers and to keep the revenue coming in."

Investigators said they seized drugs during a six-month investigation.

Also arrested were Felix A. Perez's son, Felix J. Perez, 24, and Manuel Perez's girlfriend, Aideliz Quiles.

Police said the case should have a significant impact on Nashua's drug business.

"It means we should see a reduction in street crime in Nashua," Hammond said. "A lot of people have cocaine and heroin problems, and hopefully they'll be able to get some help. Hopefully, we'll be able to reduce the amount of cocaine and heroin on our streets."

Felix A. Perez, Felix J. Perez and Manuel Perez were ordered held on $250,000 bail each. Quiles was released pending her next court hearing.
