MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - An investigation has concluded that a Milford police officer was justified when he wounded a man who was holding what was later revealed to be a fake gun during a domestic dispute.
The investigation by state police and the state's attorney's office involved a shooting that occurred on May 12, 2007.
Officials say Sgt. Daniel Sharoh shot 37-year-old Roger Cadrin after Cadrin ran out of his house with what appeared to be a gun in one hand and knife in the other. He was pointing the gun at the back of his wife.
Cadrin was wounded in the hip and has since recovered. The gun found next to Cadrin was later identified as a plastic firearm replica.

He was actually trying to shoot the gun out of his hand as it came out of the bad guy's holster.

Just like the public wants.

At least he hit the guy...I'd hate to be in a situation where a dude has a gun (fake or not) and I miss! Needless to say, I hope that never happens....

Amazing how it takes close to a year to come to the obvious conclusion. Sort of chilling...
