I just found out that my Collateral Duties are going to include ATV Patrol and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
Does anyone have any information about the ATV course and the 80 hour DOT course?

The 80 DOT course or NAST (North American Standards Training) is usually run by State Police. More than likely you will have to contact the Motor Carrier Division under DOT, as MSP doesn't usually allow locals in the class. It's a pretty good class and you get alot of equipment from it. It mostly deals with truck inspection, weight classifications, etc. There's actually 2 part to it. 1 part deals with CDL licensing and the other deals with trucks. There are also add on classes for Haz-Mat and motorcoach. Again the best way to find a course is to contact DOT and check under Motor Carrier Division. You may have to go to Maryland for the class as you may not get into one around here.
