CT police officer Derek Poundstone beat 4x's and reigning World Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski June 19th at the Worlds Strongest Man Super Series Grand Prix at Mohegan Sun. This win qualifies him for the Worlds Strongest Man 08 contest so be on the look out sometime in December 08 on ESPN. He's got a really great chance to win the title.
Poundstone also won the title this past year of America's Strongest Man by the largest point margin in the contest history.
Derek has been a great role model for me and I just wanted to share it with his fellow police officers. He is very proud of his profession and managed to get all of his fellow police officers $10 off admission to the mohegan sun event on the 19th.
Poundstone's good people...he was in the academy at the same time as my hubby...glad to see he's still doing what he enjoys!
