Last time I looked, employment was for LAW ENFORCEMENT employment only, not private firms looking for guards.

Does anyone have an idea where this "law enforcement" is supposed to take place?

Posted by: Irishman1

The Location is in Fall River, those who are employed, the facility wants to have them appointed as Special Police Officers or Special Constables and as for it being for LEO postings, I cleared it with Gil first before posting the position. Those interested, send a resume, cover letter and the training certificates and the company will be in touch.

You'll probably get a better response if you give a general description of what the work environment is (office complex, residential, etc.).

Something fishy about a post that neither identifies the company that is hiring. I can understand not revealing the client's name, but these guys aren't even saying who they are. As for the client wanting the officer's sworn as SPOs or constables, that's nice... but unless the client has some pull with the City, there's no guarentees.

I guess you did not read the first post

Posted by: Foxy85

Try $17.00, which isn't bad if you're looking to supplement the income a bit. He would get more responses if he posted up more about the job itself...

I guess you did not read the post where it said those employed, the client will seek to have them appointed as Special Police Officers or Special Constables in order to be able to handle (arrest if needed) any problems that are encountered. That is why the MCJTC, MPTC, Sheriff or Reserve Intermittent certified are encouraged to apply. As the weather gets warmer, additional staff will be added. So if interested write to

Why cant you say what company it is for? I personnally think that if you give more details about the place and the job you will get more interest in this job.

The company has been in business for 17 years and is run by former LEO's, They do not want the name published. It is their request. The location was not published at the request of the client, it is in Fall River and for all responses received they will be in touch to set up interviews. Additional staff will be added in a few months and with the pay starting at 17.00 per hour, this should draw qualified applicants. One thing they DO NOT want is the idiot in a uniform that most companies provide. Almost all of the staff of the company are former or current LEO from Federal, State and Local Agencies around Massachusetts.

Sure !!!!!!!

Well, a short Google search turns up a company called "Professional Security Services, Inc" in Fall River. They have posted security jobs in the past (expired) on other sites. They are probably being contracted for a specific property. *shrug*

Wow! Really? Special Officer or Constable status? Wow! That's a definate law enforcement carrer move!

What makes the client so sure that Fall River will grant them SPO/Constable status? What happens if the city decides not to grant them such status? That's right: they'd be security guards.

I read the post. And since you can not start your own police department then, they are SECURITY GUARDS.

But they are security guards with super-secret special constable powers... and a cape... yeah, a cape too.

Irishman1,

I know Gil gave you permission to post here, but really, all of this cloak and dagger shit is starting to piss a few of us off. You won't tell us who the company is, you wont tell us who the client is, and it's like pulling teeth to get any information from you.

I personally would NEVER sent my resume anywhere without knowing where it was going to... I would NEVER send a copy of my academy certificates ANYWHERE without knowing who's hands they would end up in. I feel that most prudent law enforcement officers would feel the same way. Whats next? Asking us to provide a copy of our department IDs? I don't think so.

Posted by: Irishman1

Well with some of the posts if the City does not allow Special Police or Constable Status, the client may request status from the Sheriffs Department if they would allow it. The client wants to have the personnel to have police authority but it is all up to the City in the end. This is very true. The company has requested that their name not be used in any postings but it is not based in Fall River. The company is based on the South Shore and as indicated, it has been in business for 17 years and is run by a former LEO. The staff are all current or former LEOs and some now that serve with local agencies as well as Federal and ocassionally have State Police working with them. It is a good firm, and I am not trying to piss any one off, if you are I apologize but I am following the requests from the company and not to mention the client involved. If someone is interested, send a resume, you have nothing to loose but a stamp. It could bring you a good paycheck and opportunity. Since the company wants those with experience those looking for part time to make extra money are encouraged.

As I posted before, the site is in Fall River and will open scheduled for March.

I get what you're saying, but why do you care? If you have no plans to apply, then who gives a shit?

ghost stories...

Posted by: Irishman1

Ok Ladies and Gents, I called the company owner and he has told me to post the company web site so if you have any questions, you can email or call on Monday. The company web site is http://www.protectmeepi.com The client has had security and other services provided by this company for 10 years. So there is a good long standing relationship between the two.
