Please excuse me if this sounds like a very stupid question.... Im very new to the forum and uninformed. Under the requirements it mentions that the applicant needs to have either military, 60 hours of credits or 3 years of certified police work.

Would a Mass SPO with 3 years of experience be considered 3 years of certified police work for a position like this?

thanks

Having been to Fla. and back, they define a police officer as one who has the power to make arrests, carries a firearm, and conducts m/v stops. If you've done those three then you're in. They do accept the SSPO academy as well. You just have to take their comparative compliance course, then 100 question state certification exam. Good luck.
