POLICE OFFICER TOWN OF WARREN This is a full-time position within the Warren Police Department. Hours and shift assignment are subject to seniority and staffing needs at the discretion and direction of the Chief of Police. The Warren police department is an equal opportunity employer Eligibility: Candidates must be at least 21 years old, currently reside within 15 miles of the Warren town boundary and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, a valid Massachusetts drivers license and a Massachusetts License to carry firearms. Preferences include certification as a full-time police officer by the Municipal Police training Committee, associate degree in criminal justice and E911/LEAPS certification. Is it really mandatory to live within the 15 mile radius to be able to apply, i live out side but if hired willing to relocate immediately. thanks

I think as long as your willing to relocate it should be ok to apply. Just send your resume. It can't hurt.

Not quite sure of the starting pay. They do have Quinn Bill, 75/25 insurance.

Right now you walk in maxed out at $17.89. As of July 1 it goes up to $18.42. Yes that's not a typo, that's the top step. Contract is pretty good and has some nice language. Detail rate is $38. Differential is $1.75 mids and $1.50 3-11. 6 personal days. Instructor stipends.

The deadline for applications was this past Friday, Feb 22. I would say you should hear something in a few weeks. There were alot of applicants for both full and part time. Good luck.
