Hey Everyone,

Has anyone with a 9 on the last CS gotten a card for Lynn PD yet?

I heard two rumors....so I'm trying to see where I stand.

Rumor 1: There going to hire 100+ cops, but they have already disqualified 40+ people for "Background" issues.

Rumor 2 (Or Fact): They sent cards out to those with a 10 on the CS and not yet to those with a 9.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm in the 50's on the current list. Thanks!!

100 cops rumor!!!!

Call Civil Circus and ask THEM....... They have had some issues as of late with sending out HUNDREDS of cards for single digit appointments.......... I can only be teased so many times myself.

would civil service tell you how many cards went out for a town/city so far?

Lynn sent out 16 cards for 4 positions on Dec. 18 and got 4 or 5 people to sign. The 16 cards represent the CTO status people. The dept. has not gone forward with any interviews or backrounds as the city is in financial trouble. The dept. may need 30+ people but that won't happen. The city is talking layoffs even though many officers have retired or quit/transferred out.

They have lost close to 30 guys to other dept's in the last couple of years. Jumping ship. I'll let any one on this board from Lynn PD tell you why. Good group of guys...mngmt sucks.

Sorry about resurrecting an old thread but Lynn won't be hiring for awhile. They may be losing a few more people to other departments though.

Hiring a 100 +, now that's laughable.
