SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) A Springfield man charged with murdering his wife and her two daughters stood before a judge Friday afternoon. 32-year-old Juan Mejia was arraigned again after his case was transferred to Superior Court. He was ordered held without bail on charges of the December 8th triple murder. He has been moved from a psychiatric facility in the eastern part of the state to the Hampden County House of Corrections in Ludlow.
Court documents released this week say Mejia lingered for days outside the Pearl Street apartment, where police discovered the bodies of his wife and her two daughters. Mejia was found rambling incoherently, eating from trash bags and knocking on neighbors windows.
He is expected back in court for a pre-trial conference June 3rd.
