PEMBROKE - A Pembroke woman is suspected of stealing at least $50,000 from the beauty salon where she worked.
On Wednesday in Plymouth District Court, Karyn D. Akley, 46, of 66 Furnace Colony Drive pleaded innocent to a charge of larceny of more than $250 by single scheme.
Police charged her with stealing cash from Personal Best, where she was office manager.
According to a police report, Akley told officers that she had stolen $300 a day since July.
She told police that she would pay back $15,000 and told salon owner Marie Goldman that she would return $50,000, the report states.
Akley was released without bail and told to return to court Feb. 19.
