Did anyone who took this exam hear back for an interview yet?

Posted by: jhitch82@yahoo.com

I haven't heard back yet. They said three weeks for the exam results. And I refuse to go in person to receive my score. I would assume if we passed we will hear from them within a few weeks

Posted by: samadam78

I went and got my test score which was a passing score so I was wondering when they will call for interviews....

Posted by: samadam78

anyone else heard anything?

Posted by: samadam78

So did no one on here apply or did no one hear back yet???

Posted by: girlcop21

If you got a passing score on the test, calls are being made as you read to set up interviews which will take place during the month of April.

Posted by: jhitch82@yahoo.com

I have an interview April 25th. I received a call on Saturday.

Posted by: co2

I successfully passed the 1st interview and now I'm meeting with the Chief next week. Curious as to how many other people are also meeting with the chief. Anyone know exactly how many officers the department is looking to hire. I was told that if all goes as planned then there will be an academy taking place at the transit police in august

You better address him as "Colonel" if you want the job. I took the exam a few years ago and laughed when the officials giving the exam told everyone to address him as Colonel... Give me a F#$KIN break. Unless you are a head of a state police of a state, I will not be addressing you as colonel.. Needless to say when they called me for an interview they left a message on my voice mail like a military commando operation using military time and a date to call them back by.. I declined, sorry not for me..Colonel is not reserved for a mere college university police chief... Good luck however!!!

Posted by: samadam78

I was looking at the MPTC web site and the transit academy started in March so I doubt there will be one in Aug.
The next one I see is the Plymouh Academy that starts Sept. 8 looks more likely....

What!?
Irish! come on brother!, Don't you address your chief as "general"?

Just steer clear of it and call him Sir.....Anything to get the academy...

if you think of it in terms of 'kernel' and picture an ear of corn, you won't have any problem.

Irish, MERE?

Irish, MERE?
mere1
–adjective, superlative mer·est. 1.being nothing more nor better than: a mere pittance; He is still a mere child.
2.Obsolete. a.pure and unmixed, as wine, a people, or a language. b.fully as much as what is specified; completely fulfilled or developed; absolute
hope this helps!

mere 1 (mîr)
adj. Superlative mer·est 1. Being nothing more than what is specified: a mere child; a mere 50 cents an hour

Let me know if you need any more words defined

Posted by: HELPMe

It is a common practice in RI to address the Chief as "Colonel". They use the military rank structure. The Colonel is from a college in RI and continued with that title. Address him with his correct title and I don't foresee any problems.

I'm a little slow these days in checking old posts... I don't know if that's a compliment or not... I'd like to think I'm a real cop... don't know what others may think of the department...

As far as the Colonel, it's a RI thing for him allthough everyone knows you don't have Cols unless you're in the MSP or military...

Posted by: mullyb27

They just hired two from that test. They will start the MBTA academy in september.

Posted by: mullyb27

Best of luck samadam and welcome to the wonderful world of campus policing. Keep ONE very important thing in mind, you won't be kicking in a lot of doors, but it can be very rewarding, fun and it definately pays the bills.
