Does anyone know if any town that employs Per Diem seasonal officers. I know most, if not all, hire guys to work 40hrs. But I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any town that hires some as perdiem to just work weeknds/holidays over the summer.....
I haven't found any, so I think I'm SOL....but its worth asking....

Check out Salsibury and West Newbury, along with any small non civil service town, they usually hire part time I don't know of per diem. You may have to look at some colleges for that

I know Hampton hires seasonal officers but you must commit to at least three or four shifts per week, including at least one weekend shift as the town does not want to invest certification hours and training into someone who isn't going to work regularly. It's too late to apply there as applications and exams are in the fall with training starting soon.

Portsmouth NH has been know to hire people just to work weekends and holidays. The call the auxiliary officers but they are paid and have full authority when on duty.
You may also want to check out Hull Ma I know they hire seasonal but I don't know for what shifts.
