Officials said the kidnapping suspect fled from officers, ran into a cruiser and sideswiped several vehicles.
ORLANDO, Fla. --
Orlando police and Orange County sheriff's deputies worked overnight to find a kidnapping suspect who fled from officers.
Authorities said they were attempting to serve a warrant on Prince Rolle, 21, who is known to have a violent criminal history.
Despite a search from the ground and air, police could not locate Rolle.
"We did a rather extensive search with several K-9, but we came up empty-handed this time," Orlando Police Department Lt. Armando Socarras said.
But investigators said they're not giving up on the search for Rolle. He's wanted for kidnapping and is no stranger to law enforcement.
"I would consider him dangerous. He has a violent criminal history, and he is known to be armed," Socarras said.
Police came close to catching Rolle in the MetroWest area around 10 p.m. on Sunday. His car was spotted, and stop-sticks were deployed, but he just kept going.
"He ran into one of our police cars. Luckily, no one was injured. He also sideswiped a couple of parked vehicles at an apartment complex," Socarras said.
Police did arrest a woman who was with Rolle on drug charges.
