ALLENSTOWN, N.H. -- Three local police departments are investigating a series of robberies at Subway sandwich shops.
Three separate restaurants were struck Thursday night in Hudson, Allenstown and Nashua.
That last happened in Nashua at the Subway on 483 Amherst St. around 11 p.m.
Police said two men shot one of the workers in the restaurant with a pellet gun. The victim is OK.
About two hours earlier, a Subway was robbed in the nearby town of Hudson.
Police said two men, both white, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 160 pounds held up the shop using an unspecified weapon.
Investigators said the robber descriptions match the ones in the Nashua robbery.
At about 9:30 p.m., an Allenstown Subway on School Street was held up.
Surveillance video shows a man and a woman order two workers into a back room. They then force one of the worker to empty out the cash register.
"At most fast-food and chain restaurants, employees have no access to the safe, so (the robbers) were turned away there and they went right for the cash register," Allenstown police Sgt. Michael Stark said.
NASHUA, N.H. -- Police have charged several people in connection with Subway restaurant robberies in three New Hampshire communities. In Nashua, three people have been charged in connection with robberies last week, and Allenstown police are seeking warrants in a Subway robbery in their town last week for two other people already in jail on unrelated robbery and weapons charges. Nashua police arrested three Nashua residents on New Year's Day in connection with robberies on Nashua on Christmas Eve and Dec. 27 and in neighboring Hudson on Dec. 27. Susan Bunker, 19, was charged with two counts each of conspiracy to commit robbery and criminal liability to robbery. Chad LaFlamme, 21, and Scott Solwick, 21, were charged with three counts of robbery and two counts of conspiracy. Solwick also was charged with assault in connection with shooting a clerk at the second Nashua robbery in the face with a BB gun. Police said Bunker drove the men to the stores and acted as the lookout. Allenstown police are charging two Manchester residents in connection with a Subway robbery in their town last Thursday. Chief Shaun Mulholland said he is seeking arrest warrants for Michelle Destres, 22, and Phillip Rawnsley, 30.
