BSC PD Receives Award

(Click here to view the original thread on the MassCops Message Board)

The Bridgewater State College Police Department recently received MADD's top honor for DUI and underage drinking enforcement. BSC was the only college/university in the state to receive this award. For more information (and a great photo) go to www.bridgew.edu and click on the top story. Great job guys!

So on one hand there is some dumb ass from the Registry a month or two ago saying it was illegal for BSC to enforce Chp 90, and on the other MADD is saying that their OUI enforcement saves lives only in Mass.

Good for BSCPD!

Congrats BSCPD!

Congrats on the Award. Keep up the good work

Keep up the good work. I have heard many good things about this department.

Seriously...................

Congratulations to the ENTIRE crew at BSC PD for their fine efforts.
I hope Dave Tillinghast forwards this to Katie Ford at Public Safety. And while we're on the topic of silly women, send a copy to Erin Goodwin at AFSCME too!

There was a very nice flag pole dedication ceremony there at HQ on Friday in memory of Lt. Ray Wise. Nicely done; very professional. And as a sidebar, their brand new cruisers are sharp! BSC is certainly the "primo" place to work!

Posted by: MPD

You are correct Mitpo it was an excellent ceremony. Forgive me but I don't remember seeing you there but that is neither here nor there.

Well done BSC. Cruisers look sharp!

I too was at the ceremony. I never met Lt. Wise, but my friend was very close with him and he seems like he was a truely great person. The ceremony was very good, very professional. I must add that the flagpole looks really nice. I can't help but wonder if some drunk college kid is going to mess with it...I hope not but you never know

The cruisers are sharp also! Makes the white and light blue cruisers look like fake cruisers!

Posted by: Mitpo62

Thats correct I did not attend the ceremony. I believe the trespass warning is still in effect.

As I recall, Eric Gagnon was there. I didn't even recognize him until someone said something. Looks "Maine-y"
