Night Watchperson

Stonehill College is seeking a part-time Night Watchperson to work Friday and Saturday nights 6:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M. Responsible for securing buildings; locking windows, doors, and openings; checking and securing all exterior doors; and surveying facilities at specified times each night.

Applicants must be able to physically perform the essential functions of job which include: walking, bending, twisting, reaching, opening/closing windows and doors, and accessing non-handicapped accessible areas of the College. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required. Must be able to interrelate with fellow employees as needed to get the job done. Must treat fellow employees, students, and visitors to the College with respect. Must be willing/able to work independently as well as taking direction from supervisor's). Experience and/or education in security, police work or criminal justice preferred.

Position requires walking around the campus grounds which includes exposure to: snow, wind, rain, heat/cold temperatures. Work will not be scheduled during school breaks or vacations. The schedule, hours, location, and assignment may vary depending on College needs. Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment, drug screen and physical. Non-union position. No benefits.
