Stonehill College has an opening for a part time Road Block Attendant to check vehicles and persons coming onto the College campus to verify that their admittance has been pre-registered through a host student. Attendant verifies identification through a driver's license, college ID, etc. Other duties include responsibility for blocking off certain parking lot entrances so all persons entering the campus are verified to have legitimate business. Attendants work under the direction of the Campus Police staff.
High school diploma, excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Candidates who possess experience/education in criminal justice or police work are preferred. Must be proficient in speaking/hearing/reading English. Must be professional, diplomatic and self-motivated.
Must be able and willing to work an entire shift exposed to a variety of weather conditions (snow/wind/rain/heat/cold). A uniform and foul weather gear will be provided. This is a non-union position without benefits. Work is not scheduled during school breaks or vacations.
