A friend of mine was wondering which of the 6 Cape Cod towns holding the exam in January have the Quinn Bill. Does anyone have any information on this?

I don't believe there is a comprehensive list of Quinn Bill departments; you'll probably have to contact each department individually.

Ok, thanks. I will relay that information.

Remember you won't get Quinn unless your school counts and if you get hired now, because you are a new Quinn officer your paperwork will not go in till nextfall and won't see a check probably till 2009.

Depending on the department's CBA, you may well be entitled to retroactive Quinn Bill money.

A former co-worker of mine recently transfered to a muni PD down the Cape just a couple months ago and he's already getting his Quinn money. I know both mine and my friend's colleges are on the list.

Hey VSP troop-
Your buddy got picked up by a very good department and a great Chief.
If it's who i'm thinking of.

Somehow my department worked it into the contract where the town pays the full Quinn amount starting the day you are eligible for it. I don't know if they recoup the state's share or not. Anyone else have this?

Alot of P.D.'s worked that ito their contract because of all the hubub about getting rid of the quinn bill. But its clear that the towns will only start paying if the sate discontinues to.

I know alot of PDs that don't have that in their CBAs, those that do great job. I had to wait until the Fall before my $ came when i got hired. We do have a 50/50 clause that says in case the state cancels Quinn, we still get the town's share in there.

Chatham, Yarmouth, Barnstable, Dennis, Falmouth have full quinn. Harwich has partial, not sure about the others.

The communities that have the full quinn in regards to the ones included on this test are: Chatham, Dennis, Mashpee, Brewster, and Orleans. These towns differ on how the incentive is paid but they all have it and all make more money than the only town without the full-quinn which is Harwich.

Harwich gets the towns share of the quinn but not the states. dont ask...
