Does anyone know if Wheaton College Officers Carry a Firearm yet, if they do not is there any time in the near future that they will?

Posted by: NPD S3

No, they are not an armed department.

I don't see that changing anytime soon

Have met some former Officers in my travels. Most have nothing too bad to say. Hear the pay is ok, bennies are great. Good place to take 1st step on the path, as long as you know where the priorities lay. Small private school, $$$ talks....

I was there for 4 months, its not bad. Good people decent benefits, pay and a good stepping stone.

Isn't that where the Chief and ex-deputy ousted chief from BSCPD came from? Rumor has it that almost everyone from there got hired by the Chief from BSCPD, put through a FT acaqdemy as a favor. Nice buddy!!

Posted by: Macop

Yeah, that is pretty much true. He tried to do there what he did at BSC. Some of the BSC officers would come and work details with us at some of our concerts and other functions and would talk about those days.

Apparently, and thankfully for them, Wheaton can't claim parentage to "Monsignor Eric"-the not so missed Deputy Chief-he was Mass Art, but at one time most of BSCPD's ranks were recruited from there. The only ones left are the Chief himself and one of the Sergeants. So it does have a history of sending it's Officer's upwards and outwards.

He's a preacher up in Maine now. Good career move. He could talk a cat off a tuna cart!
