University Police Officer
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Police/Public
Safety Department is administering a police exam for the position University Police Officer. This exam will be used to establish a Candidates list for upcoming and/or future openings.
*Note: Applicants who are current police officers and who can demonstrate completion of an approved Massachusetts Training Academy, or its equivalent (i.e. other state academies with equivalent standards) will be exempt from the UMASS Dartmouth administered exam and can be placed on the Candidates List once an application and fee is received.
Additional interviews and testing requirements will be scheduled after a selection from the pool is made for a posted job opening. Note:

Examination Fee: $20.00
Application/Registration Requirements
A $20.00 fee will be charged to sit for the exam. Pre-registration is required. Applicants who want to take the police exam can register by submitting an official UMass Dartmouth application for hire/resume, payment of the fee, and receipt of the test information. * Applicants will not be accepted on the day of the exam.
• The examination fee should be paid at the Bursar's office, Foster Administration Building, 2nd Floor. Fee is to be paid by check or cash only. • To register for the exam, proceed to the Human Resources office, Foster Administration Building. You will be required to produce the bursar's receipt for the exam, and will be registered and receive the study guide. • Hours to register are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
