Chesterfield Police Officials say they have arrested a man after he barricaded himself inside his home in the 6500 block of Lothaire Court for more than an hour on Monday in a Chesterfield County subdivision. Police cruisers lined adjacent Omo and Old Zion Hill Roads, yellow police tape established a perimeter. Chesterfield Mobile Command Center and the Police Tactical Team arrived. Armed Officers walked down Omo Road onto Lothaire where the tense situation was ongoing. Staged nearby was Medic 3 from Chesterfield Fire and EMS for EMS support. Neighbors and curious onlookers lined the nearby streets. Police Officials said they initially responded to the home at about 0923 hours after the homeowner threatened to harm himself when he was served an eviction notice. Police say that the situation was resolved with no shots fired and the man was taken into custody at 1028 hours without further incident. The man has been charged with obstruction of justice and his identity has not yet been released. The subdivision is located about two miles from Chesterfield County Airport.
