Holden police kind and compassionate

My roommate and I were recently the victims of a crime that took place in Holden. We went directly to the police station after it happened. At that time, Officers John Santimore and Donald Ball served us. They were kind, compassionate and efficient.

Since that time, we have had the pleasure of speaking to and working with several different officers. We have been so impressed with the level of professionalism, efficiency and kindness. Every person who is the victim of a crime should have such compassionate and competent law enforcement to navigate him or her through the reporting and follow-up process.

The Holden Police Department is doing a superb job. They clearly made what could have been a terrible experience an easier one. Law enforcement officers have a difficult job and are often portrayed negatively in a culture that has lost sight of the stresses associated with keeping the public safe. We shouldn’t wait until we need them to show our appreciation.
