Sometimes your wife can really get your goat. But that doesn't mean you should shoot one.
A man has been arrested for allegedly opening fire on one of the animals because his spouse refused to bring him home beer.
Peter Mischler was charged with mistreatment of animals and possession of a gun while drunk.
The 48-year-old from Waupaca, Wisconsin, returned home from a hunting trip on Saturday, and was allegedly angry at his 22-year-old daughter for letting the family's two pet goats out.
While his daughter was on the phone to her mother, Mischler asked her to tell his wife to buy him some beer.
When his wife refused, Mischler allegedly threatened to shoot the goats.
After his wife returned home, she and her daughter heard four gunshots outside.
They went out to find one of the goats with its entrails hanging out. The animal was still alive. It had to be put out of its misery by a police officer.
Mischler was later arrested that day at a local bar.
