Of course you are putting people down. Dogs feeding on a meat train? What do you call that? I happened to be one of those feeding dogs and take issue with your post. I apologize that we weren't all dressed in such satorial splendor as would meet with your approval. I further apologize that there were so many of us. I'm sure from the vantage point of a livingroom recliner, long after the incident, and with the benefit of a bunch of newspaper photos, it didn't look like the textbook operation you so obviously participate in on a regular basis.
As to your charge there was no leadership present this is also patently false. The Needham Police Chief arrived very shortly after the first responding units. A perimeter had already been established in the immediate area of the two stores in question. The Chief widened the perimeter and cleared the center of town of all civilians. A tactical unit was summoned as was a dog and the suspect was taken into custody. In the meantime, the individual who had just committed a particularly gruesome murder was also apprehended.
This was not a textbook operation but was, rather, a dynamic and fluid situation, that unfolded quite quickly. The suspect in a homicide and a suspect in what was reported to be a "man with a gun" call were both taken into custody quickly and efficiently. Every officer present exercised discipline and restraint. No shots were fired and no one was injured. Every effort was made to safeguard lives and remove any innocent parties from the danger zone. Additionally, the Needham Police Chief and the Wellesley Police Chief did NOT draw down on each other that I saw, and, unlike you, I was there.

SSPI,
If you have to address a post "To (Insert Name Here)" you should use the private message option. If I am correct, that post was closed due to arguments and what not. If you'd like to address someone personally by PM feel free. Otherwise, please try to use the system in place as it was designed. The board is set up in threads as to avoid all these personal conversations.
