Actually to buy the stuff online from MHQ gear (I think that is the site name) you have to be a police officer or trooper. I was going to buy the golf balls for my buddy (trooper) since he likes to golf and I couldn't.

Looks like the guy selling this lives in his moms basement. Either that or he has his "gimp" modeling the sweatsuit for us.
"It puts' the lotion on the skin' and "Put the dog in the basket" come to mind.

The guy who is selling it, his name is Tightleatherjeans. It already has 3 bids. Some asshat will buy it, and end up walking around the porn store wearing it with the badge and hat he also got off EBAY.

I was thinking the same thing looking at the walls in that photograph...or its some kind of torture chamber via "Hostel".

Should I wear my tightleatherjeans underneath when I take the pic??

Note: The pictured suit is NOT a vintage MSP running suit. I got one the old fashioned way; I earned it! I got mine while a member of the 69th RTT, the last recruit troop from Framingham. Mine has NO MSP arm patch. That was a later addition. Anything after the 69th is not "vintage" to me. Anyone who has one without the patch most likely is 69th or before and the suit is original issue. rhl

Haha, this reminds of when the Army the switched over to the APFU pt's you could see tons of the old stuff on the internet. And for those of you in the military, you know how often we buy new pt's.

Good thing all my old academy stuff has my name on it.

I have a friend who is a cop in TX. He told me that they have a law there that no one can wear anything with the word "police" on it unless they are a licensed peace officer. He said you never see people with jackets or hats with police emblems on them. Wish MA had it.

It should be illegal I've always told my wife if you are ever getting pulled over and question the legitacy of the cruiser at all call 911 and tell them whats happening and they will be able to tell you if it's a real police officer.

I've seen on Forensic Files a guy had his whole crown vic done up to look like a cruiser he would pull girls over and then when he got them in the car the sicko actually had rings in the floor to shackle them to.

Actually really surprised Ebay allows it.

Nothing beats the heroes who walk around in the NYPD shirts.

LOL so true....

She's OK though

I have a couple NYPD shirts although I don't wear them much. They're licensed products and a small portion of the money went to the NYPD. It isn't much but its better than nothing. It's a long shot but if enough people bought them, maybe they could be giving their new recruits a little more than $25k a year. Realistically speaking, I'm sure they'll come up with a million other uses for the money before they will give recruits a higher starting base.

don't they give them away when you take the test? that's what i heard from a friend in NJ who took it.

If it were legal, NYPD would be giving away blowjobs to get people to take their test. $25K to work in the armpit of the United States isn't very appealing.

saw an interview with some actor who worked NYPD for a couple of years and he used his badge to get over the bridge on his daily commute into the city just to save the $5 toll. those guys must live on mac and cheese

i found a state police badge 20 years ago and turned into 1010 Comm. Ave.
never thought of keeping it. it belonged to somebody. now i guess people sell lost or stolen property on the inter-net. weird s**t

yeah my biggest mistake was taking the GW Bridge to get back to Mass, $6 what the fuck is that
