You must wait 1 year after the last step you had, test, oral board, poly, ect.

A large number of NH Departments are offering an exam on Dec. 1st at New Hampshire Techical College in Concord on December 1st. Call the Criminal Justice Department there and ask for further info. at 603-271-6886

does this mean nashua were not satisfied with the people that took their last exam? or are they hiring more officers?

Posted by: sox07

Is the physical fitness part of the process done the same day as the written?

The NHTI Test is only the written and a list of grades from passing candidates is available to the fifteen or so participating towns in New Hampshire. They then draw from that list to fill their openings as needed. This provides them with a written screen. They then must do the agility screen etc. Officers once hired then must pass agility again at academy entrance and come up to graduation standards during the academy.

The PT takes place right after the written. If you pass you do PT, if you fail you go home.

I know a LEO from Mass who wanted to move up to NH. Nashua PD turned him down from the last test. Said his experiance did not matter/wanted a military man...

Posted by: JLT770

interesting, guess i wont be taking their test without a chance to get hired being the collegeboy i am.

Posted by: COto50

JLT I would take the test. They love to get guys from the military, but they also like guys who have 4 year degrees in law enforcement or criminal justice.

Definatly take the test doesn't especially considering it is the cheapest around at $15. You don't know till you try plus it is just that much more experiance on test taking. Also I have a buddy who works for them, no military at all. Does have a 4 year degree in CJ and worked 1 summer for Hampton PD. Best of luck if you take it.

From what I understand: Many NH towns are now having the PT first. If you don't pass the PT, why bother with the written?

I heard that Londonderry's last test was that way...

Besides, Nashua is always hiring. If you miss this one..you can take it again next week (just joking)

Some NH towns are now taking names off the NHTI, Concord list and calling in candidates for agility and interviews this saves them the time to do written screenings. Other towns, like Hampton, give written and agility on same day. Nashua, Manchester and Concord are cities that have all been hiring. State has also put on new troopers and the number of NH towns hiring are too high to keep track of. I know that NHTI exam coming up has 15 different chiefs looking for candidates.

Enough of the "poor me, they only care about veteran status and no one cares about my degree bullshit". You're only 22 and giving up already?! There's definitely no sympathy given on this site. Just take the test, take every test you ever come across.
