I was wondering which brand(s) do your departments issue for your duty belt. My department is small and part time so i will be needing to purchace my own equipment and I wanted to know which brands people prefer. Please give me your likes and dislikes about your equipment, i'm having trouble deciding what equipment I should buy. Thanks for the help.

I prefer the Safariland brand. If you have a choice on what holster you can use check out the Safariland level 2 ALS.

I myself am in this predicament as I need a duty belt and equip.

From what I Have been told by others is do not worry too much about what brand to use as far as cuff case, Mag holders, glove poutch etc. almost any brand should suit your needs even less heard of brands. It does not have most expensive. Just make sure you when you are considering buying you should look at it carefully at how it is crafted. Look to see if it's construction will hold up.

However as far as Holster I was told you do not want to cheap out on that. I was told to use a brand name like Uncle Mikes, Safariland, or Bianchi for this. I was also told while not always better you may think of considering dishing out a few extra bucks.

Right now I have been cruising ebay looking for used /new but fair priced complete rigs and accessories. I am watching a few. One whole rig I keep coming across is this UTG Crimebuster package. As far as Nylon gear goes it looks pretty decent and the Price is very tempting but I just don't know how well or wise it would be to purchase this as they are made by a company called LEAPERS which primarily sells Airsoft gear. If I do decide to go with this brand I am definitely going to get a different holster than the one provided.

safariland is the way to go. This brand really holds up.

safariland, you dont want to go cheap on your duty gear or vest...it always comes back to you. Youll either get disgusted and just buy what you shouldve in the first place or not use it if its uncomfortable.
