I will be there on the 22nd any one else going? Also What color Khaki pants are they looking for? I assume tan/brown.

Posted by: JakeDodge

Khaki colored Khakis They didnt seem to worried about the shade of the pants though, never saw anyone get spoken to about it an we all had varying shades. Just as long as you have the polo and khakis on (and remember to tuck it in, unlike some guys I went with) you will be fine.

Posted by: blueline21

I'll be there.... I went with the tan pants if it means anything, not the white "khaki".

Posted by: CJIS

I am sure we ran into each other. I was the one in front that said "Med" when the director asked about anxiety. (I was just telling it how it was I was not really anxious) and I am not BSing

Posted by: Harley387

Khaki? Dude...just wear blue jeans.....everyone else will be wearing them.

Posted by: Motor23

The jeans will be just fine, they want you to be comfortable

Posted by: vaspo

Yeah wear jeans and get a class III. That sounds like fun, if you liked to be sniped as a shitbag.

Yes, there will be no need to take you to "the dirty, dank, dark lockup" to get the truth.

this thread is headed "Plymouth Reserve/Intermittent Academy" - I went to the PI "academy" years ago - we wore dungarees or whatever we chose to, to class. Do they wear khakis to PI class now ? It seems like Intermittents are being phased out, at least in the area I work..we have not had any for 15 years or so..

I'm curious, how long is the R/I Academy and how is it run? Is it a three night a week deal or some such thing? I've only known one person who went through it and I can't recall what she said.

I'm just curious is all.

When I went in 1999 it was 190 hours. If I am remembering correctly it was Mon and Wed nights from 7-10 (?) and every other Saturday all day.

I am in in-service this week at Plymouth and they currently have an R/I class in session. I think that they go 4 nights a week and then every Saturday. They end up with almost 200 hours and knock the academy out in just a few months.

When I went to Foxboro 4 years ago, it was Tuesday/Thursday 6pm-9pm for like 6 months............

Posted by: Kilvinsky

a six month committment is worth is. I'm glad to see that they do understand that most of the people going through this schooling DO have other jobs to consider.

Thanks for all the info!

"I think that they go 4 nights a week and then every Saturday. They end up with almost 200 hours and knock the academy out in just a few months."

That's about what we did, waaaaaay back in 2000. We were the Boylston Academy, held at the Waltham PD from April to June. The Director asked the class if we wanted to get in as much as possible in the shortest amount of time, which all but a few said "absolutely!". He said it wasn't normally done like that, but would be a test or pilot program.

There Is A R/i In Waltham In June

CLASS III? what is a Class III?

Posted by: RICHARD

Waltham reserve intermittent academy got cancelled? Anyone know why and when there is a next available class this year in 2008 Thanks
