2 Killed, 3 Injured In Monday's Blue Hill Avenue Crash
BOSTON -- A Dorchester man faces motor vehicle homicide charges following the deaths of two people in an early morning car crash on Monday in Boston.
Rohan Blackwood, 21, was arraigned from his hospital bed on Tuesday on two counts of motor vehicle homicide and three counts of operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious injury.
Investigators allege that a car driven by Blackwood careened off Blue Hill Avenue and into a tree.
Christopher Lawrence and Janine King, both 20, were killed in the crash.
Three other passengers were seriously wounded and remain hospitalized.
Police allege that Blackwood was drinking alcohol at a party in Roxbury just before the crash.
Witnesses told investigators Blackwood may have been speeding just before hitting the tree.
