SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) A routine traffic stop led to a foot chase for state police officers in Springfield Monday night. Trooper Steve Gregorczyk told 22News the car chase started on Princeton Street just before 6 o'clock and ended on Gerard Avenue when the suspect fled from his car. State Police Officers chased on foot but the man got away. Police found drugs and objects tying the suspect to a local gang in the car. Gregorczyk said police have identified the man and have several warrants out for his arrest.
