Woman Left Dogs To Die During Disney Trip

RUSKIN, Fla. -- Authorities said a Tampa Bay area woman left her three dogs to die in her backyard when she took a trip to Disney World.

Hillsborough officials said Alicia Visscher left her three Dalmatians confined in the sun in her backyard without food or water.

Investigators found the dogs after neighbors complained about constant barking.

Authorities said one of the dogs was in such bad shape that it had to be euthanized. The two surviving dogs will be put up for adoption.

Visscher has been charged with one count of felony animal cruelty and two counts of improper confinement of animals. She has been released from jail on a $2,500 bond.

Another one of the "seven out of ten people" who shouldn't be allowed to own pets.

I've always believed that dog owners should be licensed, not their dogs.
