MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Officers said they are looking into two armed robberies and two cases of shots fired.
Neighbors on Conant Street told police they heard gunshots just before 10:30 p.m. Monday night. Witnesses said they saw one suspect running from the scene.
About an hour later, police responded to another report of shots fired at 377 South Main Street.
Detectives recovered shell casings from both scenes and said it was too early to determine if they are related.
Police are also investigating an armed robbery in the area of Lowell and Pine Streets.
Lt. Rick Charbonneau said a white male accompanied by two heavy-set women approached a man and assaulted him Monday night
The suspects then stole the victim's wallet.
Around 3 a.m. Lt. Charbonneau said the Cumberland Farms on Hanover and Beech Streets was held up by an Hispanic male carrying a gun.
The clerk complied with the suspect's demands for cash and ran away.
Manchester police do not believe the two armed robberies are connected because the suspect descriptions are not similar.
