whats up everyone? my name is jason and ia m 22 from rockaway nj. I recently took the massachusetts civil service test and i am awaiting results of the test. I am also currently going through the amtrak police dpeartment process for nyc. However, my ultimate goal is to get to new england because i have a huge family there. I sorta have doubts about massachusetts because it is soo competive, and i thought nj was bad lol. I have family in manchester nh though. My question is would it be a good idea to take both the nh state police exam and manchester so i can be on both of their lists? I am willing to accept either of the 2 jobs. My dad is a retired nj state trooper so i know how competitive the process is for the state police.

If I am right,...NH SP exam is coming up like right away....Check website. Also I know Manchester and other communities are looking for QUALIFIED candiates. Do give them a try and good luck.
If you want a job to hold you and give you some experience contact Hampton, NH PD right away as they are looking also for qualified candidates and the test is the end of this month. They are looking for summer officers.

The Nh state police exam is coming up real quick. I know that Manchester and Nashua test once or twice a year so it is a good idea to keep checking their sites. Conway, Nh is also going to be hiring in the next month or so. There is also the NH civil service test at MacAntosh college. All things you should check out.

Take any and all tests if you want to get hired. Plain and simple, take what comes first if you're not picky either.

my second question is whats the general wait to hire date for manchester pd and nh state police? If there is anyone on here on either pd some advice would be great on timespans. Secondly, has anyone gone through the polygraph for manchester or nhsp and if so are most of the examiners fair or completely stern to where they aim to fail you.
