BROCKTON— Police responded to two separate reports of shots fired in wards 2 and 5 over the weekend.

No injuries were reported.

Police responded to Foster Street and Forest Road at 12:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving 9-1-1 emergency calls reporting the sound of six to eight gunshots in the area.

One emergency call reported about 50 people yelling and fighting in front of 150 Foster St.

At least 10 police cruisers responded to the scene.

One shell casing was found in the Ward 2 neighborhood, police said. The suspects were described as four males riding in separate cars — a dark Honda and a white Honda, police said.

A short time later, police responded to 369 North Montello St. after receiving reports of five gunshots heard at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect was described as a male wearing a gray hat and gray shirt who left the area in a tan Honda Civic, police said.

The BCI unit of the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department was notified in that incident.
