WBZ)HAVERHILL One person is dead after a crash on Route 495 in Haverhill late Sunday afternoon.
According to state police, a woman was driving a Jeep along the highway's southbound lanes when she lost control. The SUV entered the median and then rolled over. Both the driver and her passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was taken to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, where she is being treated for serious injuries. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say both the driver and her passenger were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Driver who left deadly scene may face charges
HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Prosecutors are deciding whether to bring charges against a woman who state police say left the scene of a deadly accident. Police say a Jeep was rammed from behind on Route 495 South, throwing the passenger from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver in the other car kept going, then struck a guardrail on Route 93. That driver had two children in the car. Prosecutors say if there are charges, they probably won't come for a couple of days.
