NEWPORT, N.H. -- A 19-year-old Newport man has been arrested and charged with sexually targeting school children.
Police Chief David Hoyt said that Glenn Labree was hanging around Newport schools, approaching young boys and offering them candy, cell phones and music to entice them to go places with him.
Labree was arrested Wednesday and charged with felonious sexual assault. Police said that he sexually touched a 13-year-old child. His bail was set at $25,000, and he is being held at the Sullivan County Jail.
Police said they were investigating other allegations against Labree. School Superintendent Bill Mealy has banned Labree from all school property and events.
