PITTSFIELD, Mass. --Pittsfield Police Chief Anthony Riello is confirming a report that he is one of three finalists for the police chief's job in Falmouth.
The 57-year-old Riello told the Berkshire Eagle he was approached by a consultant for a search committee in Falmouth.
Riello has been with the Pittsfield police department since 1978 and became its chief in 1997.
According to The Cape Cod Times, the other finalists to succeed retiring Falmouth Police Chief David Cusolito are former town police officer Michael Gower and John Whiting, chief of detectives for the Pawtucket, Rhode Island police department.
The finalists are scheduled to be interviewed Tuesday at Falmouth Town Hall.
