(Venezuela) A 33-year-old man, Carlos Camejo, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue. When the medical examiner started cutting during the autopsy, Camejo woke up and cried out in pain.
"I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said, according to a report on Friday in leading local newspaper El Universal.
His grieving wife turned up at the morgue to identify her husband's body only to find him moved into a corridor - and alive.
I'd guess that someone waking up during an autopsy would tend to scare the bejeezus out of the medical examiner. It probably occurs infrequently.
"I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said

as someone who worked at a funeral home for a few years during college (paying the bills) i would say that something like this (obviously in a funeral home setting) would end my career in the funeral home business quite abruptly!!!

I am suspicious of the story as I have attended a several autopsies and I never saw the first cut being made on the cheek. I'll spare the details.
