a few buddies and i were talking about how one of them got stoped on the way home from work a week ago. the kid was kind of bitching and moaning about how the police officer was sitting there with no lights on at all trying to say it was intrapment, bla bla bla typical im 18 the laws pickin on my attitude. i told him that i was almost positive that the cop could legaly do this and he was with in the law to do so but he didnt believe me. i signed up here a while ago lookin for advice on how to get into LE and figured i would see what you guys think.

If he thinks it's against the law for us to run radar with our lights out, have him fight the ticket and let him tell the magistrate / judge that it was entrapment. Other than that tell him to shut his trap as he does not know what he is talking about.

Entrapment is when a subject is coerced or tricked into doing something he (or she) would normally not to. Maybe your synapse-challenged friend can explain how an officer hidden from view "made" him speed. Did he teleport into his car and mash the gas pedal down?
He got bagged, fair and square. Call him a wahhhhmbulance and have him save his sob stories for Mom when he needs to borrow the money to pay the ticket.
