Stanley Iron Works
I was bored on Saturday and took a ride over to the Stanley Iron Works in Bridgewater, MA.
not a whole lot going on but some neat old ruins. Don't get your hopes up mostly foundations.
Here is the URL run by the Town of Bridgewater

Here are a few of the shots I took.
You guys will cringe when you see this photo but alas......
A Police Cruiser sits idle behind the Highway Dept Barn.

Again not a great spot for UER but if you are in the area take a peak
The Trail to the falls is to the Right of the Big Abaondoned Stone Shed.
and for what it's worth here is a pic of the barn thanks to Local Live.
I found it sorta boring and did not photograph it. (It is empty and is made of Stone)

We still have to get down to the shipyard one of these days.

I can think of some good places to go "urban exploring" but I can't guarantee you'll escape with the camera.

Unless of course you tell them your name is Geraldo Rivera and you are working for a future jailhouse magazine.

Nahant is a good place to go exploring as long as you know where the 2 foot wide hole is on the island.

Greg - I wish you had a chance to visit the old Danvers State Hospital before they demolished those beautiful Dr. Kirkbride inspired buildings.
You would have had a field day taking photos there.

The bowels of Tewksbury State was another great place for exploring and picture taking, not that I would know first hand of course...
(They didn't have digital cameras then.)
