SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) Early Wednesday morning a 54-year-old woman was shot to death in her home and now police are looking for your help in finding her killers.
It happened on Allison Lane in Indian Orchard around 1:30 a.m. Springfield Police Detective Dennis Pryor told 22News three suspects were involved and shot a woman in the head. Family members identify her as 54-year-old Cassandra Oliver. Police Spokeswoman Jennifer Flagg told 22News there is a strong possibility the killing is drug related. Flagg says it appears that the home was targeted and a resident knew the suspects. No arrests are reported at this time.
Springfield Police Commissioner Edward Flynn said, ""We're continuing to work a variety of angles. One of which is the relationship between this address and some illegal activity we're exploring. We recovered a vehicle last night that we found driving at a very high rate of speed. The occupants fled once they were able to elude police officers who were processing that vehicle and we're asking for the public's help in perhaps identifying that vehicle and who might have been driving it."

The car is a rented white 2008 Pontiac G6 with New Jersey license plate VYS-29X.

If you have any information you're asked to call the Springfield Detective Bureau at 737-6355.

Ya don't think the pursuing officers were ordered to abort, after all it was only speeding..."no pursuit" policy strikes again?
