MIT you could always go to LPD! Why not live in and protect paradise???

Posted by: Macop

Cambridge is nice if you like liberal shitbags and illegals running amok.

Posted by: Mitpo62

That's why they call it the "People's Republic."

beat me to the post

You can say what you want about the city, but the department has a solid reputation - nice salary and benefits package and plenty of opportunities for specialized units and training. The department has picked up some sharp officers via lateral in the past few years.

That 25,000 population requirment is bogus as they have taken officers from many PDs with less population than that the last few transfers.

They modified the posting on the City of Cambridge website. There will be more than 5 laterals taken. Rumor has it 10 is the magic number.

Has never prevented or stopped anyone I know on this dept. from making an arrest.

I was refering to the liberlal establishment, NOT THE POLICE DEPT OR HOW THEY FUNCTION. And no where did I say anything that could be mistaken for an insult to the CPD, which I would never do. But sancuary means you don't arrest illegals.

Posted by: mpdcam

Show me a city where you do arrest illegals...

Posted by: Macop

The point is sancuary cities turn a blind eye if they come across illegals in the normal course of events. Maybe you though I was refering to goin gout and specifically looking for illegals, which is how my statement looked, but came off wrong.

Posted by: mpdcam

Maybe I'm missing the point, but pretty much every city in MA turns a blind eye to illegals. Take a ride by Foss park in Somerville at 7 AM. No one is out arresting the day laborers. I realize that Cambridge has pronounced itself a Sanctuary City, but all the others are practicing it without saying it.

With that said... If you want to work in a city environment and get paid well to do it, come to Cambridge. If not, then don't.

Posted by: JLT770

Cambridge is great, you get these illegals walking their dogs on property i secure and they dont speak a word of english!

Posted by: Macop

Well said mpdcam.
