I was shocked to hear of his death recently. I worked with him during my time at Norfolk and he was a great supervisor. He will be missed.

didn't know the good Captain personally , but from all accounts he was well liked and regarded as a solid superior officer.

I currently work at Norfolk and I tell you that to this was a great man that Loved his job and he won't soon be forgotten.

I've never heard of him, but when the line troops speak well of a captain, that's enough of an endorsement for me.

May he rest in peace.

masterb,

Was he still involved with the TAC Team when he passed?

Did he teach at the Medfiled Academy in the mid 90's?

Did he teach at the Medfield Academy in the mid 90's?

talked to one of the guys at Norfolk and he did teach at the academy , was on the tac-team for about 10 years before making captan.

even some of the inmates asked permission to send cards to his family. this might not seem good , but after talking to a couple of lifers he was held in high regard.

No, to me that does not sound bad. He was a guy that knew how to talk to people. There was no question, you knew he had your back, he also knew how to keep the peace in the block.
