When is the next MBTA police academy? Any help would be great.

October and February are the next classes that are starting soon.

Thanks!!

How does one get into the MBTA academy? Do they have their own test or is it the civil service exam. Thank you.

Civil service for MBTA.

Posted by: mechanixman

I heard you could make only 3 choices on the test. If I pick the MBTA, do I only get 2 other choices? Also I heard you have to live in Boston to get on Boston PD. Is that at the time of test or hire? Thank you.

All you need is a 99 or above on the exam and ten Charlie passes.........

damn im 2 charlie passes short...but seriously is it even worth changing one of my towns to MBTA if i dont have a score of 99? im sure the MBTA are highly selective.

They tend to have a high turnover rate, so they're almost always hiring.

So if they're having an academy in Oct wouldn't I have seen a card in the mail? I've been at #30-something on their list all year

Posted by: ROBOCOP1982

There is no academy in November or October, the 20th MPOC starts in January and there is already a waiting list.

Posted by: copper24

when does it exactly start would you know?

Posted by: mikey742

A little birdy told me that the MBTA has one starting Dec. 10th

Posted by: copper24

Thanks!!

Posted by: COto50

mikey, you sure you aren't confusing the MBTA academy with the Plymouth academy that is starting on the tenth?

Posted by: mikey742

No i'm sure there was stuff faxed to my dept from the MBTA with that date

Posted by: LTSO16

how about the harvard officers who i heard were sent to the MBTA academy?? since hupd is hiring about 14 officers wouldnt they fall into an upcoming academy?

Posted by: Motor23

It is my understanding that you will be put on the MBTA list without requesting it.

Not anymore. You must put the MBTA as one of your picks.
